Center of Arabic studies at Baku Eurasian University


Baku Eurasian University, International Center for the Service of Arabic Language named after King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz signed an agreement on establishment of Center of Arabic studies. Delegation of the Saudi Arabia Embassy attended the event.

Speaking at the event BAAU rector Nazim Huseynli greeted the guests, and gave information about the activity of the University. The participants also were informed about the further activity of the Center.

The speakers highlighted that the Center would give contribution to the educational cooperation.

The main purpose of the establishment of the Center is to teach Arabic language as well as to organize international conferences and attract Arabian teachers and professors to the Center. It is also aimed at developing bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan in the scientific and cultural field.

After the opening of the center Professor Nazim Huseynli presented his gifts to the guests. In turn, the guests presented gifts to the rector of the university, decorated with special ornaments.

At the end of the event, pro-rector on Science and Foreign Relations of the University Sayavush Gasimov thanked everyone who took part in the establishment of the Center and raised the issue of granting scholarships to students studying abroad as one of the important steps in this direction.

The event ended with the presentation of songs and poems by students in Arabic.
