International conference - Arabic language in Azerbaijan and Central Asia


An international conference titled "Arabic Language in Azerbaijan and Central Asia" has started its work at Baku Eurasian University on July 11.

Famous Arabic scholars from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are also attending the conference. Delegation from Saudi Arabia also participated in the conference.

The two-day event will feature numerous speeches. The main goal is to discuss the current state of the Arabic language in Azerbaijan and Central Asia, discuss prospects for development, factors that prevent it, and to set up cultural bridges among the intellectuals of participating countries.

On the first day of the conference, the official opening of the "Center for Arabic Studies” was held.

Ambassador Dr. Hamad bin Abdulla bin Saud bin Ruhay made a speech. He described the opening of the Center as a positive step in terms of expanding science, education and cultural ties between the two countries.
