Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan announces a story and essay contest among the students of philology and journalism faculties of higher education institutions on the occasion of the Year of Shusha.

The competition is held to promote and preserve the centuries-old cultural and historical heritage of our cultural capital Shusha and Karabakh as a whole, to teach it to the younger generation, as well as to develop students' correct writing skills and ensure compliance with literary language norms.

Topics:

• Literary and artistic environment of Karabakh;

• Historical and architectural monuments of Karabakh;

• Karabakh is the cradle of Azerbaijani music;

• Shusha is the cultural center of Azerbaijan.

Terms of the competition:

• Entries must be in Azerbaijani and not previously published;

• Each author can participate with only one entry.

Requirements for the compilation of the article:

1. Text format: Microsoft Word

2. Font of the article: Arial, 14

3. Writing volume: 1500-2000 words

4. Line spacing: 1.5

Those wishing to participate can send an electronic version of the article to [email protected] by April 5, 2022, and the manuscript in a sealed envelope to the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZ1073, Baku, H.Javid Avenue, 117).

The winners will receive diplomas and gifts.
