The center conducts fundamental scientific research in the field of Turkology and presents the obtained results to the wider public. It was established on September 1, 1999, on the initiative of Professor Nazim Huseynli, Chairman of the Board of Founders of Baku Eurasian University, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan. The first head of the center was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nureddin Rzayev. Currently, the center is led by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Nazim Huseynli.
The goal of the Turkology Research Center (TRC) is to expand the scope of scientific research in the field of Turkology, ensure its dissemination to the scientific community, and facilitate effective cooperation among relevant stakeholders.
The center focuses on researching the history, statehood, science and arts, culture, economy, customs, and traditions of Proto-Turks, Turks, Turkic-speaking nations, peoples, and ethnic groups. In addition to studying Turkish literature, linguistics, and the legacy of writers and intellectuals, the center also examines the lives and works of statesmen, socio-political leaders, and their contributions to statehood and governance based on scientific facts.
According to the center's areas of activity and its current and prospective work plan, continuous research is conducted on historical-legal books, epics, dictionaries, and other scientific and popular publications.
