Turkological Research Center
- The center was established on September 1, 1999 at the initiative of the rector, Professor Nazim Huseynli and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Azerbaijan.
- The Turkological Research Center acts as a research center, conducts fundamental scientific research on approved scientific directions, topics and problems in accordance with the research plan. The center analyzes the research work carried out in the field of Turkology, keeps statistics of scientific potential, regularly compiles reports on the results of scientific work, submits them to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and promotes them through electronic communication.
- The main task of the center is to study the history, statehood, science and art, culture, economy, customs and traditions of Turkic-speaking nations, peoples and ethnic groups.
- The library fund of the Center for Turkological Studies is constantly enriched.
- The structure of the Center includes the head of the Center, leading researcher, senior researcher, researcher, junior researcher, specialist and technical staff.
- The first head of the center was doctor of medical sciences, professor Nureddin Rzayev. At present, the head of the Center is Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Nazim Huseynli.
