A number of events are being organized to celebrate the 650th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadeddin Nasimi. Among them is the tree-planting campaign initiated by the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. 650,000 trees were planted in one day as part of the campaign.

The leadership, faculty and students of Baku Eurasian University also joined the large-scale event and took an active part in the tree-planting campaign.

Imadeddin Nasimi is one of the powerful masters of words given to the world literature by the Azerbaijani people. His jubilee is celebrated at the state level as a significant event in the history of literary and cultural thought in our country.
