"Drug addiction is a universal scourge, and staying away from this extremely dangerous scourge is one of the top priorities for young people." These views were voiced at an anti-drug awareness event organized at Baku Eurasian University.

Speaking at the event, Ragif Allahverdiyev, an employee of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke about the innumerable damage caused to students by drugs, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures in our country.

The official of the commission noted that the state commission holds many events and meetings throughout the year to guide young people to a more effective, healthy outlook on life, and these meetings have a positive effect.

The event was attended by the head of the Department of Education Organization of Baku Eurasian University, prof. Mansim Mammadov and Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Associate Professor Salman Suleymanov also attended.

In the end, numerous questions of students were answered. An anti-drug slide was presented.
