On March 6, 2024, a meeting was held at the Baku Eurasian University with the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visiting our country.

Welcoming the guests, the rector of the university, Professor Nazim Huseynli said that Saudi Arabia is always respected by the educational community for the sensitive attention it has shown to Azerbaijan in approaching the Karabakh problem. He then spoke about the establishment of BAAU, its goals, contributions to the development of science and education, and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of science and education.

Associate Professor Sayavush Gasimov, vice-rector for international relations of BAAU, gave information about the university's international relations, dual diploma programs, student and teacher mobility projects. He said that recently BAAU has been expanding its international relations, establishing cooperative relations with prestigious universities of the world, signing agreements on joint staff training at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels, and dual diploma programs. Stating that the university actively participates in the "Movlana" and "Erasmus+" projects, Sayavush Gasimov said that the exchange of teachers and students is also carried out within the framework of bilateral cooperation.

BAAU vice-rector for scientific affairs, professor Gulzar Ibrahimova spoke about the university's scientific activities and research centers, and informed about international and republican conferences. At the same time, G.Ibrahimova brought the proposals of BAAU to the attention of the guests within the framework of cooperation with Saudi Arabian universities.

Later, Aygül Ahmadova, a specialist in project management and academic mobility of the international relations department, made a presentation that included the activities of BAAU.

Head of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visiting our country, Secretary General of the University Affairs Council Dr. Bassam bin Abdull Albassam informed about the purpose of the visit and said that the higher education institutions of his country are interested in establishing cooperation with Azerbaijani universities in the field of science and education. Later, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University vice-rector for postgraduate studies and scientific research Dr. Abullah bin Abdulaziz Altamim, Umm Al-Qura University vice-rector for postgraduate studies and scientific research Dr. Fahad bin Ahmad Yahya Alzahrani, vice-rector for educational affairs of Madina Islamic University Dr. Mosallem bin Bakheit Mohammed Alfazi, consultant of Prince Nurah bint Ali Al-Rahman University Dr. Ebtesam bin Saleh Alothman, Ms. Nada bint Saleh Alsomael, adviser of the International Cooperation Agency of the Ministry, gave detailed information about the universities they represent.

At the meeting, detailed views were exchanged on the prospects of cooperation in the field of science and education with the universities operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as exchange opportunities in the field of scientific research. was discussed.

After the official meeting, the guests visited the "Arabic Studies Center" operating at BAAU of the International Academy of Arabic Language named after King Salman of Saudi Arabia. Associate Professor Ulviyya Huseynova, Director of "Arab Studies Center", gave detailed information about the activities of the Center to the delegation.
