An event on "COP 29 and the global climate agenda" was held at Baku Eurasia University under the organization of the Department of Humanities and Regional Studies of the Faculty of Regional Studies and Economics. The panel discussion was held within the framework of the Baku Eurasian University's Event Plan in the direction of COP 29.

Associate Professor Sayavush Gasimov, Vice Rector for International Relations of the University, Associate Professor Mutallim Rahimov, Dean of the Faculty of Regional Studies and Economics, Associate Professor Aybeniz Rustamova, Head of the Department of Humanities and Regional Studies, participated in the panel discussion.

Asmar Yusifzadeh, head of the UN Department of the International Security Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, gave a wide report on "COP 29 and the global climate agenda".

At the interactive event, by order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, speeches were made in the direction of declaring 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" and the tasks ahead. Extensive discussions were held on global climate change, the activities of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the organization of its 29th session.
