On January 19, Baku Eurasian University held another event within the Erasmus+ project "Establishment of Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" (ECAR).

The event was dedicated to the problems of internationalization of higher education institutions. In this regard, vice-rector Nigar who participated in one-week trainings and seminars in Belgium, Mutallim Rahimov, Dean of the Faculty of "Regional Studies and Economics" gave detailed information to the participants.

During his speech, M.Rahimov initially focused on the correct understanding of internationalization and said that the approach to this concept in the modern European education system is quite different. Thus, participation of all structures of universities is envisaged in internationalization. Each department bases its activities on these requirements and contributes to them. Thus, universities can apply all innovations to the science and education system, student exchange, and socialization of students in a fairly short time. In our country, this activity is understood as the work of the vice chancellorship for international relations of universities. Of course, this does not allow the desired results to be achieved.

M. Rahimov then gave information about EFMD, which operates in connection with international quality assurance. He brought his demands regarding the accreditation of educational institutions to the attention of the participants. He spoke about the compliance of BAAU's activity with these requirements and commented on the quality indicators of the activity in a comparative manner.

Vice-rector Nigar Huseynova also shared information about international student exchange programs, including DAAD, known as the association of German universities and students.

She also spoke about the study opportunities of BAAU students abroad and the education of foreign students at BAAU. She emphasized the possibility of graduate students admitted to BAAU to obtain a diploma from the University of Genoa, Italy, within the framework of the dual diploma project.

Later, the event continued in the form of discussions and question-and-answer.
