On November 29, 2023, the first training of the "Smart Solutions" incubation program, funded by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, was held at Khazar University with the participation of students from other prestigious universities of Azerbaijan. This innovation program was organized within the Enterprise Hub platform created within the framework of the Creative Spark project at Khazar University. Students participated in a 6-month Bootcamp as a team during the Smart Solutions Incubation program.

It should also be noted that students of BAAU's Regional Studies and Economics faculty, Shikhali Ali Yashar oghlu and Huseynzade Elcan Sahin oghlu, joined the training under the name of "Eagle EYE" team and presented the mine detection drone system project. These systems include transversal and longitudinal wave sensors integrated into mini or micro unmanned aerial vehicles designed to protect human life and ensure safety in minefields. Through these sensors, drones can detect buried mines, improvised explosive devices and unexploded ordnance and transfer them to 3D maps. Thus, demining robots or expert agencies know the location and type of mines before entering a minefield and can defuse them more effectively.

These systems can be used in both civil and military fields. Thus, demining in border areas can be used to find improvised explosive devices planted by terrorist organizations or to secure old battlefields. Carrying out all these and similar trainings is a great opportunity to get educational knowledge in these areas, as well as the opportunity to apply it in the right positions.

At the end of the program, the teams presented their start-ups at the final event. A total of 38 teams participated in the project. Only 8 teams qualified for the final stage. On March 30, 2024, the presentation of projects was held at the final stage held at "Wyndham Garden Baku". According to the decision of the jury and investors, the 1st place was awarded to "Ecwa" of Khazar University, the 2nd place to "Medappoint" of Khazar University, and the 3rd place to "Eagle Eye" team of Baku Eurasian University.

Thus, the "Smart Solutions Incubations" program has successfully completed its work. We congratulate all three teams and wish success to all our young people participating in this training.
