Baku Eurasian University, Bandırma "17 Eylül" University, Istanbul Gelişim University, Tekirdag University, as well as "Recycling Economy and Sustainability" academic journal and IKSAD Institute jointly organized the International Conference "Recycling Economy and Sustainability Policies" with the participation of a number of non-governmental organizations of Azerbaijan.

82 participants from 13 countries attended the conference (Turkey, Azerbaijan, India, Brazil, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia, Tunisia, Iraq, Romania, Ethiopia, Ireland, and Nigeria) with 45 reports.

At the opening ceremony, the Head of the Organizing Committee, professor of Tekirdag University, Durmuş Çagri Yıldırım, Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs of Baku Eurasian University, professor Gulzar Ibrahimova, and the president of IKSAD Institute, Doctor of Economic Sciences Mustafa Latif Emek gave a speech.

In the plenary session, Professor of Istanbul Culture University Seyfeddin Erdogan, Professor of Istanbul Gelişim University Kanan Aydın, Professor of Istanbul Sabahaddin Zaim University Mustafa Dereci, Professor of Portugal Azores University Rui Alexandre Marçal Dias Castanho, Professor of Vidyasagar University of India Ramesh Chandra Das, Professor of Bucharest University of Romania Kristina Raluca Gh. Popescu, Professor of the Bulgarian Higher School of Security and Economics Valentin Vasilev gave a speech regarding sustainable economy, floating exchange rate, retail sales and the impact of inflation index, environmental policy, renewable resources, ecosystem protection, bringing in foreign investments, sustainable tourism and sustainable services.
