International Scientific and Practical Conference "Priority Directions for the Integrated Socio-Economic Development of the Region" was held in Uzbekistan, Urgench (co-organizers: Urgench State University, Urgench Regional Branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, University of Padova, University of Surrey, Monash University, University of Santiago de Compostela, Ca Foscari University of Venice, Novosibirsk State University, St. Petersburg State Forest Technical University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Azerbaijan University of Cooperation, Baku Eurasian University, Kuban State Agrarian University and the Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University).

Leading scientists from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Italy, Great Britain, Malaysia, Spain, Germany, Russia and other partners joined the event which organized online. 

The event saw discussions on:

• Methodology of integrated socio-economic development of the region;
• Foreign experience of integrated socio-economic development of the region;
• Sustainable socio-economic development of the region;
• Efficient use of innovation and investment potential in improving the competitiveness of the regional economy;
• Econometric modeling of sustainable development of the regional economy;
• Management of natural resources of the region;
• Innovative, scientific and educational subsystems in the socio-economic development of the region;
• Socio-economic prerequisites and conditions for ensuring the food security of the region;
• Development of the agrarian economy in the context of the digitalization of agriculture.
