At present, one of the issues in focus in our country is the integration of science and education, and the other is the adoption and application of international best practices in the field of education by the country's universities. Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) attracts scientists and researchers working in various research centers of the country, ensures that they benefit from international internship programs as university teachers.
Within the framework of the European Union's Erasmus + Mobility Program, faculty and student exchanges have been taking place between AUCA and top European universities for several years. In this context, Elnur Kalbizadeh, Associate Professor of Humanities and Regional Studies, Doctor of Philosophy in History, participated in the exchange of experience as an invited professor at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece from 9 to 14 May 2022.
E.Kalbizadeh got acquainted with the work of the Department of European Programs of Aristotle University, the Department of History and Archeology of the Faculty of Philosophy, the Department of New and Modern History, the Laboratory of Historical Research, the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, as well as faculty and doctoral students of the Department of History and Archeology. He gave lectures to master's and bachelor's students on territorial and border changes and the current situation in the South Caucasus in the twentieth century, the relations of the region with Greece, energy diplomacy, multiculturalism policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Head of the University's Laboratory of Historical Research Johannis Ksidapolous suggested to organize online seminars for faculty and students in the future.
It should be noted that the University of Thessaloniki Aristotle is the 335th university in the world in terms of quality, according to statistics compiled by Clarivate, and the second largest university in Greece.
