On October 22, Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) hosted an educational discussion titled “My Future, My Responsibility” dedicated to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the upcoming COP29 Climate Change Conference. The event was organized by the university's Translation Department, and its academic and administrative staff, alongside fourth-year students from the Translation (French) program, participated in the discussion.
The students of the Translation (French) department gave presentations on various important topics related to SDGs and climate change, including sustainable development goals, climate change mitigation, atmospheric pollution, soil and marine ecosystem protection, and the ecological situation in Karabakh. The presentations were followed by a speech from BAAU's Vice Rector for International Relations, Dos. Sevda Rzayeva, who emphasized the importance of raising awareness about global issues such as SDGs and climate change. She also praised the students' insightful contributions.
The discussion was moderated by Leyla Malikova, the senior teacher of the Translation Department, and concluded with the planting of flowers in containers made from plastic waste, followed by a photo session to capture the moment.
