"REPUBLIC OF TURKEY AND AZERBAIJAN PHILOLOGY" conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey was held at the Baku Eurasian University. The event was jointly organized by the "Azerbaijani and World Literature" and "Theoretical Linguistics and Turkic Languages" departments of Baku Eurasian University.
At the opening event, BAAU rector, prof. Nazim Huseynli, Vice-rector for educational affairs, associate professor Nigar Huseynova, vice-rector for scientific affairs, doctor of political sciences, prof. Gulzar Ibrahimova, vice-rector for international relations, doctor of philosophy in political sciences Siyavush Gasimov, Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, prof. Hasan Uslu, prof. Firudin Jalilov, director of Baku Yunus Amre Institute Selchuk Karakılıç, director of the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, prof. Sevinj Aliyeva and others wished success to the work of the event.
The event, which consisted of 6 sections, focused on researching the new stages of development of philological thought in Turkey, analysing the works written during the Republic period, revisiting the creativity of our prominent writers who emigrated from Azerbaijan during that period, studying the problems of research and teaching Turkish languages, and other relevant topics.
