The V International conference "Translation studies: challenges and perspectives (new horizons)" was opened in Tashkent.
On February 20, 2024, the opening ceremony of the 5th International Conference "Translation Studies: challenges and perspectives (new horizons)" was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, jointly organized by the University of Exact and Social Sciences (Uzbekistan), Nakhchivan State University (Azerbaijan) and Baku Eurasian University. . At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the conference, the president of the Silk Road Research Academy, Dr. Greeting the guests, Azamat Akbarov talked about the importance of the conference theme for the Turkish Union today and wished success to the work of the conference.
The plenary session "Interlingual and cultural continuity: problems and new ways" was held by the rector of Nakhchivan State University, Ph.D., Assoc. Elbrus Isayev, rector of Namangan State Institute of Foreign Languages, Ph.D. Rivojiddin Karimov, vice-rector for scientific affairs of Baku Eurasian University, prof. Gulzar Ibrahimova continued with the reports of Jamila Gulyamova, deputy director of the British Council of Uzbekistan.
In total, 42 reports on 14 sections from 4 countries were heard at the Conference.
