Rector of Nigde Omar Halisdemir University, professor Hasan Uslu and associate professor Rifat Battaloglu, director of Technopark of Nigde University, who came to Baku at the invitation of Professor Nazim Huseynli, rector of Baku Eurasian University, visited BAAU.

Nazim Huseynli said that the rapid and increasing development of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations has been appreciated by the scientific and educational community. He emphasized that the created situation dictates the increase of cooperation between universities and the expansion of experience exchange. N. Huseynli said that the office of Nigde "Technopark", which is planned to be opened within BAAU, is a clear example of this cooperation. Hasan Uslu noted that the long-term cooperation between the university he heads and BAAU has opened up new opportunities. He said that they are interested in further development of cooperation. Rector H.Uslu then gave information about the activity of technoparks operating within the university.

Later, Nazim Huseynli and Hasan Uslu participated in the opening ceremony of the office of Nigde University "Technopark" within BAAU. Rıfat Battaloğlu, the director of the "Technopark" of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, informed about the activities, goals and tasks of the institution he leads. He said that the opening of the office will have a significant positive impact on the development of students not only of BAAU, but of all universities operating in Baku.

The rectors also decided to hold a "Project Competition" organized and supported by "Technopark" in order to support the activities of creative students and identify talented people. Students of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey universities are expected to participate in the competition. It was also decided to create a joint commission to evaluate the projects of the participants. At the same time, appropriate support will be provided regarding the application of the products of the winning projects to production.
