The Republican Symposium "Mohammed Amin Rasulzade: language, literature and history issues" was held at BAAU

        The Republican Symposium "Mohammed Amin Rasulzade: Language, Literature and History Issues" dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade was held under the organization of Baku Eurasian University and Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of ANAS.

         The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played at the opening of the symposium. BAAU vice-rector for international relations, associate professor Sayavush Gasimov welcomed the participants and talked about the purpose and importance of the event. He said that the symposium is held in accordance with the President Ilham Aliyev's Decree "On the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade" and within the framework of the BAAU event plan. He spoke about the life and creativity of the socio-political figure, who played an important role in the history of Azerbaijan's statehood, and his rich activities.

         In his report, the head of the Turkish language department of ANAS Linguistics Institute, professor Ismayil Kazimov, noted that Muhammad Amin Rasulzade's literary creativity is noteworthy in addition to his services in the establishment of the independent state of Azerbaijan. He emphasized that M.A. Rasulzade's creativity is a certain stage in the literary language of Azerbaijan.

        Professor Adalat Tahirzadeh of the Department of Theoretical Linguistics and Turkic Languages of BAAU, based on his researches in Tbilisi archives, listened to the report on "Mohammed Amin Rasulzadeh as the head of the Muslim faction in the Transcaucasia Seym". The speaker spoke about the importance of studying the rich activities and heritage of a prominent social and political figure in depth, and re-researching the previously unknown activities.

        Later, the professor of the press history department of BSU, Nasiman Yagublu, gave a report on "Mohammed Amin Rasulzade's activities related to emigration press". He characterized the journalistic creativity of a prominent social and political figure as a chronicle of his time. He called his monograph "Azerbaijani Poet Nizami" written on the basis of rich sources an important achievement of world Nizami Studies.

       Head of the Department of Theoretical Linguistics and Turkish Languages of BAAU, Associate Professor Zamina Rustambayli, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, thanked the rector of the university, Professor Nazim Huseynli and his members and participants of the event. He emphasized the necessity of holding such events in order to continue the research and study of M.A. Rasulzade's multifaceted heritage not only from the socio-political aspect, but also from the language, literature and historical context.

         The symposium continued with plenary sessions on sections. Certificates were presented to the participants.
