Vacancies for administrative positions are announced in the Current vacancies section of the official website of the University (www.baau.edu.az).
The competition for the positions of the head of the department, the dean of the faculty and the professor-teacher is announced by the University in the mass media and on the official website (www.baau.edu.az).
Candidates wishing to participate in the announced vacancies apply for employment by filling out an electronic recruitment application.
Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan with professional training, scientific titles and scientific degrees, at least 5 years of scientific and pedagogical experience, as well as foreign citizens can participate in the competition for the position of head of the department in accordance with the profile of the relevant department.
Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as foreign citizens with at least 5 years of scientific and pedagogical experience and professional training, scientific title and academic degree, as well as foreign citizens can participate in the competition for the position of dean in accordance with the specialties taught at the faculty.
Professors and doctors of sciences can participate in the competition for the position of professor, and professors, associate professors, doctors of sciences and candidates of sciences can participate in the competition for the position of associate professor.
Candidates with at least 3 years of scientific and pedagogical experience or highly qualified specialists (masters) with at least 5 years of scientific and pedagogical experience, with published scientific and methodological works can apply for the position of head teacher.
Candidates of sciences with at least one year of work experience in scientific-pedagogical or specialty, as well as specialists with higher education (masters) with at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience or production experience, with published scientific-methodical works can participate in the competition for the position of teacher. Specialists who have successfully completed full-time postgraduate studies, assistantships, as well as graduates with honors in the current year and are inclined to research work, as well as trainee teachers can be appointed to these positions for a period not exceeding 3 years. After the expiration of this period, the specified positions shall be filled by competition in accordance with this Regulation.
Recruitment competition for administrative positions (including department head and dean of the faculty) is organized in 3 stages (assessment of indicators in the electronic application, interview and test exam), for professor-teacher positions in 4 stages (assessment of indicators in the electronic application, interview, test exam and presentation).
The candidate's application is considered within 5 days from the date of receipt and the indicators in the electronic application are evaluated, and if the application is accepted, a notification on the time of the interview is sent to the candidate's e-mail address.
The interview is conducted by the University Recruitment Commission. Candidates who pass the interview are admitted to the next stage. In certain exceptional cases where the suitability of the candidate for the position is fully determined at the interview stage (except for the presentation of lectures on the positions of professors and teachers), the Commission may decide to postpone any further stage.
The degree of suitability of candidates for the position is determined by the University Recruitment Interview Commission at 4 levels: a) general outlook; b) qualification compatibility; c) level of knowledge and training; d) is assessed by checking personal qualities.
General outlook - is assessed on the basis of the candidate's awareness of important events in the world (country) and society, as well as his / her views on these events.
Qualification compliance is assessed on the basis of documents (diploma, certificate) confirming the candidate's education in the relevant field, academic degree and scientific title.
Level of knowledge and professional training - is assessed on the basis of the candidate's knowledge of the interview program for the vacant position, application of theoretical and legal knowledge, ability to use information technology, foreign language skills (if required), professional development, training and certification.
Necessary personal qualities are assessed on the basis of the candidate's general cultural and ethical level, emotional stability, responsibility, purposefulness, honesty, self-criticism, penetration, analysis, communication skills.
A notification shall be sent to the e-mail address of the approved candidate. No later than 3 (three) days after receiving the notification, the candidate must submit the following documents to the Executive Office of the University:
