Huseynli Nazim Ziyad oglu was born in 1956, April 30 in Gadabay region. He graduated from Azerbaijan State University, faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics in 1981. He worked in Research Computing Center under ASU in 1974-1985, “Azerittifaq” in 1985, USSR Bank of Industrial Construction in 1985-1989.
N.Huseynli was chosen the member of USSR Philosophical Society in 1984 and the member of Soviet Sociological Association of USSR Academy of Sciences in 1986.
He received title of associate professor of the Department of Philosophy of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University in 1994. In 2005 he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
Nazim Huseynli is the first Doctor of Philosophy in the field of “Logics” and “Dialectics and cognitive theory”. He was awarded with “Golden Buta” in 2007, “Golden Pen” in 2008 and “Dede Korkut” awards in 2012, also "Son of the Fatherland" gold medal in 2012.
He participated in several scientific conferences and symposiums in Azerbaijan and abroad. He established Turkological Research Center in 1998 which is the first scientific-research center conducting fundamental researches on the appropriate field. The Center gave important contributions to Sumerologia and Oriental studies. N.Huseynli’s seven works received copyright certificates from the Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
His “Concept-categorical apparatus of thought: epistemological and methodological analysis” monograph was published in 2003 and received copyright certificate in 2012.
“Encyclopedic Vocabulary of Diplomacy” was prepared for the first time in Azerbaijan history under Nazim Hüseynli’s leadership, as well as “Galakand” book had been translated from Germany into Azerbaijani. He is founder and editor-in-chief of “Future” and “Cognitive” newspapers, “Azerbaijani diplomacy”, “Archive of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy”, “World vision” and “Civilization” magazines. N.Huseynli is the author of nearly 100 scientific articles on logics, cognitive theory, mathematics, philosophical problems of cybernetics and the philosophy of education. He is rector of Baku Eurasian University since 1992.
