The 10th International Turkic World Research Symposium was held at the National Girls' Pedagogical University of Kazakhstan on June 14-15. Organized by Omer Halisdemir University in Nigde, National Girls' Pedagogical University of Kazakhstan and Baku Eurasian University, the symposium is a large-scale event that brings Turks together and is organized every year.
The aim of the symposium is to strengthen cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries, to discuss current academic problems in the fields of language, literature, history, education, culture, art, communication, international relations, regional problems, business, economy, religion, philosophy, sociology, tourism and international studies.
Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sent an online greeting at the opening ceremony. The minister talked about the history of the symposium and emphasized its importance for the Turkish world. During the speech, the minister said that "the need to study our history, which has become our common value, to further deepen our cultural relations, to conduct research related to language, religion and other fields has never left the agenda. We believe that the scientific results obtained by the Turkish World Research Symposium will make an important contribution to strengthening the unity and cultural relations of the Turkish peoples, increasing the trust relations of the Turkish states, and preparing their economic and strategic plans”.
Prof. Gulzar Ibrahimova, vice-rector of Baku Eurasian University, pointed out the importance of the Symposium and noted that the protection and development of Turks in the modern world requires unity. Therefore, every intellectual should support this process. Stating that she considers the success of each Turkish state to be the success of the entire Turkic world, G.Ibrahimova also talked about the recent important works: "I think that as a result of the symposium, which serves to strengthen the mutual cooperation of the Turkish peoples and the strengthening of world peace, joint scientific projects will be implemented in the Turkish world in the future, and this will lead to the solution of existing problems".
Sessions devoted to various fields of science were held at the two-day Symposium. The scientists who participated in the event made speeches on the topics they presented in advance, exchanged ideas and held discussions.
All organizers and participants of the festival who participated in the symposium were presented with letters of thanks and certificates, the heads of higher schools of the three countries expressed their good wishes to each other and presented souvenirs as a sign of cooperation.
In addition, in order to familiarize the guests of the symposium with the cultural and historical places of Kazakhstan, a trip to various historical and sightseeing regions of Almaty region was organized.
This year's resolution of the symposium was approved at the closing ceremony. In the resolution, it was announced that the 11th Turkic World Research Symposium will be held on June 13-15, 2024 at Baku Eurasian University. In addition, the work to be done in the coming year is included in the resolution.
It should be noted that a collection of scientific articles presented within the framework of the Symposium will be published. The publication of the collection ensures the preservation of scientific research about the Turkic World and the continuity of the Symposium.
