 A seminar titled "Modern Challenges and the Evolution of the Internet" was held at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), with participation of BAAU employees and students.
The opening speech of the seminar was delivered by Associate Professor Sevda Rzayeva, Vice-Rector for International Relations at BAAU. In her address, she highlighted the significance of the Internet in modern society, emphasizing the opportunities it presents in science, education, and other sectors. She also underscored the importance of artificial intelligence tools, research, and innovative approaches in addressing the challenges faced in the digital world.
Woojik Chun, a protocol and network engineering specialist from the Republic of Korea, delivered a presentation at the seminar. In his talk, he discussed the historical evolution of the Internet, covering its stages of development, current state, and future prospects.
The Korean expert provided a comprehensive analysis of the Internet's development, from its origins to the emergence of "Web3" technologies, highlighting the technical and social transformations throughout this process. He also discussed existing solutions supported by Internet technologies and their associated limitations.
Finally, questions of interest raised by the students were addressed.
