A seminar titled "Climate change and its social effects" was held at BAAU

A seminar titled "Climate Change and its Social Effects" was held at Baku Eurasian University, and the event was open to the public. The seminar was organized within the framework of CoP 29 by the university's department of humanities and regional studies. Mutallim Rahimov, the dean of the Faculty of Regional Studies and Economics, who delivered the opening speech, discussed not only the ecological but also the economic, social, and cultural effects of climate change, as well as ways to mitigate them. 

At the event, Faraim Akbarov, an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gulendam Sharifzadeh, an ecology specialist, and Ayan Shamchiyeva, a climate and environmental management specialist, gave presentations on the impact of climate change on ecosystems and its social consequences. The presentations addressed issues related to the disruption of ecosystems, such as water resources, biodiversity, and the increase in natural disasters. The role of every citizen in the fight against environmental problems was emphasized. 

The seminar, which was attended by the public, was conducted in an interactive format, with a mutual exchange of ideas.
