Cooperation opportunities were discussed between BAAU and the "Children of Azerbaijan" Public Union

A meeting was held at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) to discuss the prospects of future cooperation with the Children's Shelter Reintegration Center of the "Children of Azerbaijan" Public Union. The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Sevda Rzayeva, Vice-Rector for International Relations at BAAU; Associate Professor Aybeniz Rustamova, Head of the Department of Humanities and Regional Studies; Natig Khalilov, Head of the Career and Training Center; Fuad Dargahli, AUIB training expert; and Zeynab Goyushova, a lawyer.
During the meeting, Associate Professor Sevda Rzayeva provided an overview of the university's activities, the academic programs offered, and the initiatives undertaken in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
She also highlighted the significance of cooperation with the "Children of Azerbaijan" Public Union in providing practical experience for students in the "Social Work" program at the university and expressed BAAU's interest in further strengthening the existing partnership.
Fuad Dargahli provided an overview of the activities of the Public Union, including the care provided to children and the rehabilitation programs implemented. He emphasized that the organization's primary mission is to facilitate the integration of children from particularly vulnerable groups into society, offer both physical and psychological support, and assist in shaping them into responsible citizens in the future.
It was emphasized that, as part of the projects implemented by the "Children of Azerbaijan" Public Union, various programs are carried out to ensure the social and legal protection of children, identify their talents and skills, and effectively organize their leisure time. It was also noted that a volunteer program has been launched at the Public Union, offering opportunities for young people to gain experience in the field of social work.
The parties discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation, involving students in training programs, and collaborating on various projects. At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was made to present specific proposals for the further development of the partnership.
It is important to note that the Public Union has been accredited by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan to provide services to victims of domestic violence.
