On June 11, BAAU hosted the opening of the XI International Symposium on Turkish World Studies. The event is jointly organized by Baku Eurasian University, Turkey's Niğde Omer Halisdemir University and Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.
At the opening ceremony, rector of Baku Eurasia University, professor Nazim Huseynli, welcomed the event participants and wished success to the work of the symposium, whose main theme was "Targets of the Turkish World for 2040 and the Organization of Turkic States". The rector, professor Nazim Huseynli said that the purpose of the International Symposium on Turkish World Studies is to bring together scientists and intellectuals of the Turkic world to discuss current issues in language, literature, history, philosophy, science, education, culture, economy, international relations and other fields, and to discuss new scientific research. exchange of ideas on the directions, preparation of joint projects. The "Kökümüz bir, turkük" festival, which is traditionally held at the opening ceremony, serves to strengthen the relations and cooperation of the Turkish peoples, whose history, language, culture and roots are the same.
Professor Bayram Ali Ersoy, the head of the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement of the Republic of Turkey, noted that it is important to protect the shared historical values, cultural heritage and language, which are the basis of cooperation and solidarity between Turkic-speaking countries, and to pass them on to future generations. The International Turkic World Studies Symposium is an important event in terms of expanding and strengthening relations between Turkic-speaking countries.
Baku Eurasia University vice-rector for scientific affairs, professor Gulzar Ibrahimova, Nigde Ömer Halisdemir University rector, prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, vice-rector of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University Zakir Jumakulov, MP of Milli Mejlis, professor Elshad Mirbashiroglu spoke about the potential of the Turkic world and the successful dialogue environment of Turkic-speaking countries. They pointed out that the symposium will stimulate new approaches, joint research, and mutual integration in the relations of the Turkish peoples.
Later, at the opening ceremony, the "Kökümüz bir, türkük" festival was held, which reflected the history and culture of the Turkic peoples, presented by university representatives of Turkic-speaking countries.
In the panel sessions of the symposium, which will last until June 13, reports on topics of interest to the Turkish world and discussions on the prospects of scientific research will be held.
