Foreigners or stateless persons must register at the place of residence after entering the country. Within 15 days from the date of arrival, the foreigner enters the country electronically through the official website of the State Migration Service, the e-government portal and e-mail or in person at regional migration offices. or "ASAN service" centers.

Required documents:

• application form;
• a copy of the foreigner's passport (other border crossing document) (including the visa page and the pages indicating the last entry into the country).
• Note: There is no state fee for registration of foreigners and stateless persons at the place of residence.
• Obtaining a temporary residence permit in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan
• Foreigners and stateless persons wishing to temporarily reside in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan must obtain a relevant permit.
• Foreigners and stateless persons are issued a temporary residence permit in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Foreigners and stateless persons must submit the following documents to obtain a temporary residence permit (extension) in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

• Application form approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan (filled in by a university representative;
• a copy of the passport or other border crossing document (validity of the passport or other document must be at least 3 months longer than the expiration date of the temporary residence permit);
• Certificate of absence of carrier of the virus provided for in the list of dangerous infectious diseases approved by the relevant executive authority; (human immunodeficiency virus infection, dangerous infectious diseases of hepatitis B and C)
• Two photos of 3.5x4.5 cm size;
• document of the place of residence to be registered (extract from the state register of real estate on state registration of property rights, order, lease (rent) agreement or other document stipulated by the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic);
• application of a person providing a place of residence to a foreigner or a stateless person (except in cases when a place of residence is owned by a foreigner or a stateless person);
• a copy of the identity document of the person who provided the residence to the foreigner or stateless person (except in cases when the residence is owned by the foreigner or stateless person);
• Document on payment of state duty (40 Azn).
