A meeting was held at BAAU with representatives of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan

A meeting was held at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) with representatives of two prestigious higher education institutions of Uzbekistan — Samarkand State University and the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The meeting was attended by BAAU Rector Assoc. Prof. Sayavush Gasimov, Vice-Rector for International Relations Assoc. Prof. Sevda Rzayeva, Head of the Department of General Studies Assoc. Prof. Sevil Bahramova, lecturer of the same department Immi Huseynova, as well as Associate Professor Istoda Rasulova from the Department of Uzbek Linguistics at the Institute for Central Asian Nations  and Culture under Samarkand State University, Feruza Akramova, Head of the Office for International Grants and Agreements of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and lecturer of the same university Charos Mehdiyeva.

During the meeting, the parties held extensive discussions on expanding scientific, academic, and cultural cooperation between the two universities. BAAU representatives provided detailed information to the guests about the university’s consistent strategies in the field of international relations, its current partners, and the priority areas of its cooperation policy.

The discussions focused on promising areas of collaboration, such as the implementation of joint scientific research projects, expanding student and faculty exchange programs, updating academic curricula, and organizing joint symposiums and seminars. The parties also emphasized the importance of applying innovative approaches and intensifying experience exchange in the fields of tourism, cultural heritage, linguistics, and social sciences.

Within the framework of the visit, the guests also met with Assoc. Prof. Zamina Rustambayli, Head of the Department of Theoretical Linguistics and Turkic Languages at BAAU. During the conversation, they were provided with detailed information about the department’s scientific and pedagogical activities, its projects, and its international cooperation potential.

In addition, the delegation was introduced to the University’s Library and Information Center. They were informed about the electronic resources available at the center, the capabilities of the digital library, the use of modern information technologies, and the facilities created for students. The guests highly appreciated the center’s infrastructure and expressed their intention to cooperate in the exchange of information and resources in the future.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached a mutual agreement on the continuous development of relations, the formation of new joint initiatives, and the transformation of cooperation into a long-term partnership platform.
