A poetry competition in Arabic was organized by the Center for Arabic Studies at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), with participation from schoolchildren and students. The competition, which involved BAAU students and graduates as well as pupils from the Modern Educational Complex named after Heydar Aliyev, aimed to promote and foster interest in learning the Arabic language, enhance language skills among young people, and strengthen cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Arab countries.
Based on the results of the competition, Davud Ganiyev and Sadiq Khalilli were awarded third place, Mohammadali Akhundov and Saleh Abdullazadeh received second place, and Abdulbasid Sabirov was awarded first place. The winners were awarded by BAAU Rector, Associate Professor Sayavush Gasimov, and the Director General of the King Salman International Academy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al Washmi.
It is important to note that the competition was organized at Baku Eurasian University during the official visit to Azerbaijan of a delegation led by Abdullah Al Washmi, Director General of the King Salman International Arabic Language Academy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
