On December 28, 2023, the presentation and discussion of the book "Common alphabet and language of communication in the Turkic world" by associate professor Elchin Ibrahimov, a Turkologist scientist, doctor of philological sciences, was organized by the Department of Theoretical Linguistics and Turkic Languages of Baku Eurasian University. The professor-teacher staff of the department, students of the Azerbaijani language and literature, Turkish language and literature majors of the Faculty of Philology and guests took part in the event. The head of the Department of Theoretical Linguistics and Turkic Languages, associate professor Zamina Rustambayli, opened the event with an introductory speech, talking about the author's scientific-pedagogical activity and his services in the field of Turkology. Then, a presentation made by the students highlighting the scientist's life and activities was shown. Later, the scientist gave extensive information to the event participants about his newly published book, which contains part of his Turkological research. The author touched upon the issues of common alphabet and common Turkish language in the Turkish World, and interesting opinions were expressed at the event. Imanyar Guliyev, Ph.D. of Philosophy, an employee of the department, teacher Ziya Bahmanli and the guest of the event also spoke and wished the author new successes in his scientific and pedagogical activities. Then the students asked Elchin Ibrahimova interesting questions about the topics in the book and expressed their opinions by touching on some points. The author appreciated the students' opinions at a very high level. At the end of the event, the head of the department, associate professor Zamina Rustambayli, presented to Elchin Ibrahimova the letter of thanks signed by the rector, professor Nazim Huseynli, and the book "Conceptual-categorical apparatus of thinking: epistemological and methodological analysis" authored by him. Elchin Ibrahimov, on the other hand, gave a gift of his books to the students who showed activity in the event. After the event, associate professor Elchin Ibrahimov met with the vice-rector for international relations of the university, associate professor Sayavush Gasimov, and the head of the library and information center of the university, Sima Jafarova, and presented books to both Mr. Sayavush and the BAAU library fund.
