An event titled "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" was organized at Baku Eurasian University

The event "Year of Solidarity for a Green World - 2024" was held as part of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" initiative, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU). The event was conducted in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event, conducted in English, emphasized the significance of ecology in the contemporary world. Students delivered speeches addressing critical environmental issues, including global warming, water, and soil pollution. These presentations aimed to raise awareness about global climate change, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) "Combating Climate Change.”
They also exchanged views on measures to prevent forest fires and protect nature, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) "Protecting Terrestrial Ecosystems."
Subsequently, the students performed a skit on environmental awareness, providing an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills in environmental protection, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) "Quality Education."
Evaluating the event organized by the students to address environmental issues as a commendable initiative, the department representatives emphasized the significance of such educational meetings. They highlighted the importance of fostering environmental awareness, noting that every individual should integrate environmental consciousness into their daily lives.
It is important to note that, as part of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World," various events are regularly organized at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU). The implementation of such initiatives at the university is viewed as a means to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and to raise awareness among young students about environmental issues.
