Arabic speaking competition was held at BAAU

A speech competition was held between students of higher education institutions operating in the republic under the organization of the "Arab Studies Center" jointly established by the Baku Eurasian University and the International Center for Service to the Arabic Language named after King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia. Students from Baku Eurasian University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Baku State University specializing in Arabic language joined the competition.

Scientific head of the "Arab Studies Center", associate professor Ulviyya Huseynova, informed the participants about the purpose of the competition. 

The contestants recited texts in Arabic in front of a predetermined panel of judges. Prominent Arab scholars of our country - Ulviyya Huseynova, Lala Aliguliyeva, Guler Qafqazli and Gunay Khalikova - were represented in the jury. 25 students got the right to participate in the final stage of the competition. The jury assessed the clear speaking skills of the contestants when presenting the text and their ability to express it fluently in Arabic.

The jury that evaluated the participants of the competition announced the winners at the end. Mohammedali Akhundov, a student of Baku State University, was awarded the 1st place. Baku State University student Simuzer Mammadzadeh and Baku Eurasian University student Aisha Nabiyeva took 2nd place. Baku State University students Yashar Huseynzade, Sabina Jabrayilova and Baku Eurasia University student Elmira Ahmadova were awarded the 3rd place.
