Mahmud Tutunchiyev, a third-year student majoring in Marketing at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), tragically lost his life on December 25, 2024, in the crash of an Embraer 190 aircraft (flight number J2-8243) of Azerbaijan Airlines. The flight, which was en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the city of Aktau.
A memorial corner has been created at the entrance of the university to honor the memory of M. Tutunchiyev. The leadership of BAAU, along with members of the academic and administrative staff and students, laid flowers at the memorial and paid their respects.
