Within the framework of joint cooperation between Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) and the "Migration Volunteer" and "Migration Field Development" Public Unions represented in the Public Council under the State Migration Service (SMS), an awareness-raising event was held on the topic of "Respect of foreign students for the attributes, national and cultural treasures of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and their effective and useful integration into our society.

The event was attended by Mr. Rashad Aliyev, the head of the Center for Foreign Students at BAAU, a group of students studying in various undergraduate courses and preparatory groups, as well as Mr. Vidadi Fatullayev, a member of the Public Council under the State Migration Service (SMS) and the chairman of the "Migration Field Development" Public Union.

Speaking as a rapporteur, Mrs. Sima Yagubova, the chairwoman of the Public Council under the SMS and a lawyer, made a speech on the topic "Respect of foreign students for the attributes, national and cultural treasures of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and their effective and useful integration into our society.

Noting that 2026 was declared the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture" according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Sima Yagubova emphasized that the defensive fortresses, caravanserais, mosques, temples, and tombs protected by the state across the country reflect the bright traditions of national architecture, and many works belonging to the art of Azerbaijani urban planning and architecture occupy a worthy place among the world's pearls.

The chairwoman of the Public Council gave detailed information to the event participants about the protection and inviolability of historical and architectural monuments, which are our cultural heritage and taken under state protection, as well as the determination of the level of responsibility for the violation of this legislation.

At the end of the event, a special video clip reflecting the fascinating architecture and historical monuments of Azerbaijan was shown. In the meeting, which continued in an interactive format, foreign students' questions regarding migration rules, protection of cultural heritage, and social integration were answered in detail.

Finally, the chairwoman of the Public Council, Mrs. Sima Yagubova, expressed her gratitude to the management of the SMS and BAAU for effective cooperation and organizational support, and certificates were presented to the foreign students participating in the event.
