Master classes were conducted at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) under the leadership of Professor Şükrü Haluk Akalın, a distinguished scholar of the Turkic World and former head of the Turkish Language Association. During a session with students from the Faculty of Philology at BAAU, Professor Akalın delivered a lecture commemorating the 950th anniversary of the composition of Mahmud Kashgarli's Divanü Luğet-it-Türk.
He emphasized the historical significance of Divanü Luğat-it-Türk and highlighted the richness and diversity of the Turkic languages. The folklore examples, proverbs, and idioms included in the work, as well as its role in preserving Turkish culture, were discussed in detail. In addressing the objectives behind the creation of the work, he particularly underscored its importance in promoting the Turkish language within the Arab world and in the dissemination of Turkish culture.
The professor then analyzed the historical speeches of national leader Heydar Aliyev regarding the development and promotion of the Azerbaijani language. He emphasized the value that Heydar Aliyev placed on the native language and its significance for statehood and national identity, noting that these principles serve as an exemplary model for younger generations.
Subsequently, Professor Ş.H. Akalın engaged in a discussion on the application of artificial intelligence technologies across various aspects of our lives, with a particular focus on education. He highlighted the potential opportunities that artificial intelligence could offer in the educational process, while emphasizing the importance of its proper and ethical use. At the conclusion of the lectures, the professor addressed students' questions, and engaging discussions were held on the topics presented.
