The republican scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's birth titled “Azerbaijan's victory and prospects for social, political and economic development" has started at Baku Eurasian University.

At the event organized by the "Humanities and Regional Studies" department, the participants paid tribute to Heydar Aliyev's memory by laying flowers in front of his bust at the University.

During the event, the memory of the martyrs who died in the 44-day war was commemorated with a minute's silence, and the national anthem was played.

Aybeniz Rustamova, the head of the department, who opened the conference, said that the event will play the role of a scientific meeting about the results of the great victory over the enemy in political, economic, social and other fields.

Later, the vice-rector for scientific affairs of the university, professor Gulzar Ibrahimova, spoke about the meaningful and honorable life of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of our independent state, the creator of the Azerbaijani political system.

After the official ceremony, the conference continued its work in 3 sections. Interesting reports of the participants of the conference were heard in the sections entitled "Heydar Aliyev's place and role in the history of Azerbaijan", "Victory Feast: a scientific view of the past and future of our history" and "directions of social, cultural, economic and political development of Azerbaijan".
