On February 28, 2025, the Scientific Council of Baku Eurasia University (BAAU) held its next meeting for the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The meeting was opened with a welcome speech by the Rector of BAAU, Associate Professor Seyavush Qasimov, who congratulated the members of the Council on the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan holidays. He also provided information about the preparation for the “BAAU-Niğde Hackathon 2025,” which is planned to be held on April 12-13, and the XII International Symposium on Turkish World Studies, which will be jointly organized by BAAU, Qazakh Girls' National Pedagogical University, and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University on May 21-23. The Rector then addressed the issues on the agenda of the Scientific Council.
The meeting included reports on the results of the autumn semester examination session of the 2024/2025 academic year, the organization of specialized practice as outlined in the curriculum for training in various specialties, the tasks ahead, and the assignment of scholarships to students based on the results of the autumn semester examination session. After discussions, relevant decisions were made taking into account the suggestions and recommendations of the Council members on all the issues raised.
The Scientific Council meeting continued with discussions of current issues. The competition for the positions of faculty dean and department head was reviewed, and changes in the composition of the Scientific Council were also discussed and decisions were made.
