A scientific seminar dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at BAAU

An event dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of modern, independent Azerbaijan, world-famous political figure, was held at Baku Eurasia University.

First, Vice-Rector for General Affairs of BAAU Günhan Huseynli, Vice-Rector for International Relations Sayavush Gasimov, teachers and students came to the Alley of Honor, paid tribute to the memory of the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, and laid wreaths and flowers in front of his grave.

The event continued with a scientific seminar dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev at Baku Eurasia University. First, a video dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev prepared by university students was shown. Docent Sayavush Gasimov, who opened the seminar with an introductory speech, gave a speech on Heydar Aliyev's statehood policy in Azerbaijan and spoke about the National Leader's concept of statehood and national development. Heydar Aliyev's multifaceted activities for the people and the state of Azerbaijan, the projects he implemented, and his unparalleled services in making our country a voice in the international world spoke of. He said that with the return of the National Leader to power, there was a serious turn in the social-political, socio-economic, scientific-cultural life of the country, as well as in its international relations.

Head of the Department of Theoretical Linguistics and Turkology of BAAU, Associate Professor Zamina Rustambayli, in her report "Language Policy of Heydar Aliyev", gave information about the comprehensive development of the Azerbaijani language during the reign of the National Leader, its transformation into a common language, the state language, and its services in the direction of the world of diplomacy. He spoke about Heydar Aliyev's great love and value for his native language: "The great leader advised our young people to understand the world on the basis of their mother tongue. Azerbaijani youth learn foreign languages - English, German, French, Chinese, etc. first of all, he recommended to learn one's mother tongue better by learning languages."

The speaker noted that it is the duty of every citizen of Azerbaijan to speak and think perfectly in the Azerbaijani language, to know the value of the language, to understand the importance of the state language. The policy implemented by Heydar Aliyev in the direction of the development of the Azerbaijani language, expansion of its field of application and protection from foreign influences is successfully continued today by the honorable President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy follower of his political course.

Later, the teachers of the university, associate professor Elnur Kalbizade on "Conflicts and cooperation prospects in the Caucasus", Gunel Shikhaliyeva on "The artistic image of the National Leader in Azerbaijani literature", associate professor Emil Hajiyev on "Heydar Aliyev and the modern world", Vusal Heydarov on "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan's modern development strategy" they made a report.
