An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Baku Eurasian University was held at the International Mugam Center.

The event was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Education, MPs, rectors of Turkish universities cooperating with BAAU, heads of higher education institutions, well-known intellectuals and scientists.

After the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the commemoration of memory of the martyrs with a minute of silence, the guests were informed about the establishment, mission, goals and objectives of BAAU, its numerous contributions over the past period. It was noted that Baku Eurasian University was established on April 30, 1992 under the name of the Higher Diplomatic College in Azerbaijan. Since then, the university has served as a proud, tireless soldier in the field of education and science of modern Azerbaijan.

A video dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Baku Eurasian University was shown at the event. They looked at the life of BAAU and talked about its unique activities in the field of competitive education in modern times.

Rector of Baku Eurasian University, Professor Nazim Huseynli spoke about the place and success of the university in the education system of Azerbaijan. He said that BAAU meets the requirements of the state in teaching and ensuring the practicality of higher education in accordance with modern requirements: “It is committed to achieving goals such as the management model, the creation of new information and reporting systems to ensure and manage the quality of education. ”

Adviser to the Minister of Education Nijat Mammadli congratulated everyone who has worked at BAAU since its inception, spoke about the work done by the Ministry for the development of higher education, and wished success to BAAU. In his speech, MP, Professor Musa Gasimli also noted the significant work done in the education system. He said that BAAU's name is engraved in history as one of the first educational institutions in our country.

Then the rector of Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University of Turkey, Professor Mustafa Alisharli, the rector of Nigde Omar Halisdemir University, Professor Hasan Uslu, the chairman of the Caucasus University Association, Professor Ramazan Korkmaz and the director of the Turkish Institute of Economic Development and Social Research, Dr. Mustafa Latif spoke about their cooperation with BAAU. They expressed readiness to continue their activities to train highly educated personnel, achieve scientific achievements and bring the Turkic world closer.

Professor Guido Amoretti, Head of the Department of Social Sciences, University of Genoa, Italy, which is implementing a dual degree project with BAAU, delivered a congratulatory speech in video format. He said that in the future it is planned to increase the mobility of students and teachers and cover more areas in the recognition of dual diplomas. "Because in our activities so far, both sides have been able to fulfill their obligations in a timely manner and with quality," he said.

Afterwards, BAAU graduates Javanshir Majidov, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Seyran Mirzazadeh, Director of the Azerbaijan-Montenegro Cultural and Economic Relations Center and his student Zahra Rasulzadeh spoke and shared their impressions about the university.
